Detailed mapping and drilling of the Kyaukpahto Gold Mine in Sagaing Division.
Compiled and validated an extensive historical database for ore body modelling and ore reserve estimation.
The Kyaukpahto mine was the part of a 7,000 km2 tenement which Newmont was evaluating for Carlin style sediment hosted gold deposits. The deposit consists of localised high grade breccia zones and extensive low grade quartz vein stockworks. The mineralisation is hosted by interbedded Tertiary sandstone and siltstone with carbonate cement.
